Pagliai’s: A Mankato pizza tradition like no other

Pagliai’s Pizza has been a gem in Mankato since 1969. As Mankato’s oldest pizzeria and one of the oldest restaurants in the city, Pagliai’s never disappoints. The restaurant is available for walk-in, takeout, and delivery, and features amazing pizza with tons of cheese on every slice. Pagliai’s never skimps on toppings and offers an array of classic and specialty pizzas on thin, classic, and deep dish style crusts.

It’s without a doubt that Pagliai’s has a reputation for great pizza. Onlyinyourstate.com placed Pagliai’s in their top ten “Most Highly Rated Restaurants in Minnesota.” Last year, Visit Mankato awarded Pagliai’s with the Restaurant Travel and Tourism Award.

If you’re looking for a place that also serves a variety of drinks along with pizza, Pagliai’s has you covered. They serve wine by the glass, domestic beer, and even a few beers from Mankato Brewery. The restaurant also serves fountain pop and pop by the can.

The amount of specialty pizzas that Pagliai’s offers is endless. A top favorite is the “Bacon Cheeseburger,” which includes special sauce, beef, bacon, onions, cheddar, mozzarella, and pickles. The “Sante Fe Chicken” is also great, and includes a white sauce, chicken, bacon, green peppers, cheddar and mozzarella. The restaurant also is known for their “Taco Pizza”, “Philly Steak”, and “BBQ Chicken”, just to name a few.

Pagliai’s also serves hot and cold “poorboy” sandwiches, which are sub-style sandwiches. Some of the varieties include BBQ chicken or steak, buffalo chicken, Philly steak, hot Italian, and more. The restaurant also serves spaghetti dinners, garlic cheese bread, and salads.

Being a locally owned and operated restaurant, Pagliai’s takes pride in making their own dough, blending their own sauces, and serving freshly sliced meats on all their pizzas. The restaurant is open Sunday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m., and Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 1:30 a.m. to satisfy all of your pizza needs.
