Get access to everything fitness at the Mankato YMCA

A new year means a new you. When trying to stay healthy and active, no other workout facility in the city compares to the YMCA’s Mankato location.

For $44 a month, college students and adults will get access to a variety of services including a Wi-Fi, a track, gymnasiums, a recreation room, a pool and more than 90 workout machines. Additionally, YMCA offers over 75 classes every week to members. Another benefit for members is that their membership can be used to get into any YMCA.

If you aren’t able to afford $44 a month, the YMCA offers financial assistance. According to the its website, contributions to the United Way and Strong Kids Campaign have made reduced membership rates possible for those who qualify after filling out an application.

For those who don’t want to pay a monthly fee, there are also day passes available, but individuals are limited to only a few every year. Non-members can also come in with members and pay $2 to use the facility. Additionally, there are a number of free group exercise classes available. Visit mankatoymca.org to see a schedule.

If you have a child and still want to work out, YMCA has your back. The facility will offer members a free 90 minutes of childcare in their child watch room and charge $1.75 per hour after for the first child.

As a YMCA member, you feel a community with the other members and YMCA staff. Everyone is willing to offer their assistance, especially those knew to the active world or those looking to try something new.

The YMCA is open Monday through Thursday from 5 a.m. to 10 p.m., Friday from 5 a.m. to 9 p.m., Saturday from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
